It is most likely a parallel ATA Drive (PATA). There are 2 "CAB" files in the package, but the MS Cab Extractor doesn't recognize them (big surprise). Let us know how it goes...... his comment is here I just pop the chip and plug it into a card reader and it works!

The laptop is 3 years old, and worked fine 2 days ago.
Put your flashdrive into the USB Port. Thanks again; I'd spent alot of fruitless hours fumbling around. I get the windows telling me to format again. If you're going to use it in Win98 you can use U3 anyway and it takes up about 100MB of space on the Cruser Micro, so get rid of it.
